The Professional Gold Tour Of India (PGTI) on Monday announced a 3 year exclusive partnership with Ten Golf, a channel exclusively dedicated to golf.

With the deal, Ten Golf bags the broadcasting rights for all PGTI approved tournaments within and outside the country to be held between 2012-2014.

The channel will also air a weekly show named “Inside the PGTI” which will highlight the golfing events from PGTI events. It will also feature golfers from the PGTI circuit. It will also air unique promos and fillers based on PGTI tour and Indian golfers.

Commenting on the launch of an exclusive golf channel, Jyoti Randhawa, former Asian Tour number one said that it is great to have a channel which gives Indian golfers more exposure, and added that it is very important to have a platform where Indian golfers are seen. It will help to get sponsors.

The fact that the winner of the ndian Tour gets an invitation to the US Masters also helps to increase the interest ion golf in India. (though we can’t see the Indian winner being offered at the best Masters golf betting odds!)
